Benefits of Nigella Sativa Extract

Nigella sativa is from the family ranunculaceae. It is commonly called black cumin, fennel flower, or nutmeg flower.  It is a fairly well regarded medicinal herb. The seeds of the Nigella Sativa plant are the main medicinal component, and this is where most of its biooactives are concentrated.

The extract of thymoquinone, from Nigella Sativa seeds is shown to protect neurons from the toxicity associated with Parkinson’s disease and dementia.
