A new study by US-based researchers show that adding plenty of dark leafy greens and yellow or orange vegetables to athletes’ diets could help improve their ability to see a target at a distance. According to researchers, brightly colored foods that are high in lutein and zeaxanthin help improve eye health and functional vision.

The data from modeling and empirical studies show that higher macular pigment in the retina will improve the ability to see at a distance.
